One of the most common complaints about switches is the pinging noise caused by the springs. Krytox 105 solves that problem. Applying Krytox 105 to your switch springs greatly reduces the pinging noise and further refines the sound of your keyboard.
How Do I Apply GPL 105?
There are 2 popular ways to lube your springs with lubrication oil:
- Bag Lubing
- Brush Lubing
Bag lubing is when the springs are put into a sealable bag with a few drops of GPL 105. 1-2 drops for every 10 springs in the bag. Seal the bag and lightly shake it for a minute or two, making sure to coat the springs in the lubrication oil. Please consider using a reusable bag or Tupperware to use for multiple spring batches and reduce waste.
Brush lubing is the second option. Brush lubing is brushing the lubrication onto all surfaces of the spring. This can be very time-consuming but will yield the best results as good technique will offer consistency and longevity.

Please store lubricants in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight. If you notice slight separation, you can use a lubing brush to mix the product back together (this only tends to happen when exposed to higher temperatures).
Lubricant cannot be cleaned with soap and water and can be resistant to many solvents.
Although chemically stable and non-hazardous, wear gloves and place a protective layer on your working surface. Spills are difficult to clean, and the lubricant will transfer from an operators hands to any surface they may touch.
Please clean up any accidents with a microfibre cloth.
